    Hello,

I recently had an issue with the last ModX site I created when I had a harddrive failure and the databases became corrupt. I’ve now recreated all the work that I lost and am trying to upload the database, but to no avail.

I am running MySQL 5.0.51 and the system I want to upload to is running 4.1.20.

I am getting the following error:

There seems to be an error in your SQL query. The MySQL server error output below, if there is any, may also help you in diagnosing the problem

I’m guessing this is an incompatibility issue?

Any ideas what I should do?

      Okay, my mistake.

ModX is outputting this when I try and backup the database. Any ideas?

Does that happen when you want to backup your new database, or the old, corrupted one?

In any case, you can always backup via phpMyAdmin. Dont’ know what could cause those errors you encounter; never had problems using the modx-internal backup...

This one’s the non-corrupt one. It works fine locally.

I’m going to try phpMyAdmin now. . .

My understanding is that there are some additional problems with MySQL 5.0.51 that are being resolved in the next release. I’ve seen other reports on the forums.

Yeh, phpMyAdmin solved the issue. I just wish I wasn’t bumbling around thinking it was a MySQL incompatibility issue for ages. Never mind.
