Hi all,
Not sure if this has been asked previously but I am working on a sports recruiting website that has members (athletes) that when they join the site, they fill out a form with a # of fields (location, team, position, graduation year etc). The site has almost 5000 members and now have a large database of fields. The client is looking to add a search feature for coaches or anyone wanting to search the member list, to create a custom search for any of these fields to be able to pull up the member(s) that meet their criteria.
I guess it would be similar to a search feature on a career website where you can search for title, location, etc....and pull up the jobs that meet your criteria.
With ModX, are there any easy tools, such as plugins or add ons, that are already out there that can be used for this type of searching requirement? If so, what would they be.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Does any other user have any thoughts or guidance on this?
It really depends on how you have them stored. Are they stored in a custom DB table, as MODX users, or does each one have their own resource?
If it's a resource, how is their data stored (e.g., in template variables)?
They are in a custom DB Table
If it was me, I would build it custom-made with bloX.
A nice example:

The options could alse be generated dynamically by bloX or by migxLoopCollection for example, of course.
