Specified parent directory is not a directory

I just installed a brand new version of MODX 2.2.10 via the plesk control panel. I tried to create a new directory in the assets folder but get the error: "Specified parent directory is not a directory"

I can't view any of the files in any of the folders from the manager

htdocs 750
assets 755 (set to 777, but no difference)

Is this an owner issue?

UPDATE Simple resolution:
The Plesk installer forgot the trailing slash on $modx_base_path. Changed in config.inc.php and all working well.

define('MODX_BASE_PATH', $modx_base_path);
define('MODX_BASE_URL', $modx_base_url);
