I have a migx template variable that I need access to on page X, which is using a content template. My issue is the other pages that use the content template don't need this, except for page X.
Is there a way to assign template variables to a resource rather than a template? If not any solutions would help.

I think you can hide the TV form other Resources by form-customization.
But what I would do is:
Create two templates and put the template-code into a file and make the templates 'static' and let them point to this file.
Or put the template-code into a chunk and put just the chunk-tag into the templates.
