Various sections of the Manager which used to show thumbnails seem not to any more. The problem is most evident in the media browser. It seems that phpthumb is returning a null response but there is nothing in the error logs which shows there to be a problem.
Has anyone seen this? It only happened after modx was upgraded to 2.2.10-pl. I've already raised a bug but I think the devs are asleep so I'm hoping someone's seen the problem too and been able to find a fix.
I have seen this and am stumped as well. It is interesting that it happens only on 2.2.10 for you. Do you recall what version you were running previously?

I usually keep my installation pretty up-to-date so it would've been 2.2.8 or 2.2.9
I will consult with the team on this. Is there any info you could provide on your hosting environment? Also, I may be able to send you a few test to see if phpthumb is working properly on your server outside of MODX

SSD VPS dedicated to running one instance of modx on Centos 6, mysql 5.1.69, PHP 5.3.3, Apache 2.2.15
Happy to run some tests if it helps?
Just bumping this thread. I'd like to get this sorted out pretty soon now.
Thanks for any assistance anyone can provide.
The gxdlabs test works fine. The sourceforge one returns
escapeshellarg() has been disabled for security reasons in /path/to/phpthumb.class.php on line 1129
Just bumping this. I don't know what your thoughts are here. What I can tell you is that the VPS is self-managed so no configuration changes have been made to it. Thumbnails just gave up the ghost when I upgraded. Suggests the release wasn't properly regression-tested.
