A forest in September sounds fantastic. While I love my howling desert, a couple of days in the woods in the fall makes a nice change - spring allergies make spring in the woods a misery. The outlying hotel where we stayed in Utrecht was beautiful, right next to a canal and close to the river, lots of fall color. The 15-minute bus ride to the hotel was worth it, although I was sorry that there weren't any other MODx people staying there. There was a canal houseboat for sale right behind the hotel... <sigh>
