Good point about the site-start. Creating a new template though and basing my new home page on that though isn't going to solve my problem since it appears it is the combination of the two TVs that i need on the home page that are the issue. Changing the image TV to Text works fine (though all other TV types cause the same problem).
Not sure how to go about repairing tables in phpMyAdmin......

Thanks BobRay, interestingly enough, the actual page when viewed in a browser (and not MODX) looks perfect and all the TVs are populated and displaying the correct information - the page passes the W3C validation too. The problem only occurs when you try to view the resource in MODX and make changes to the content.
I've checked the source code too but don't see anything odd - infact, if i completely remove the section from the template which uses the TVs so that they are not even displayed on the resource (they are just checked on the Template Variables tab of the template) the problem still occurs.
Have you tried deleting and recreating both TVs (don't forget to attach them to the template)?

Yeah, that sounds something like the problem I had. This was on the Cloud, and even the Cloud tech support couldn't figure out what the problem was. I couldn't just delete the TV, that would mess up every resource using the template the TV was connected to.

It could be an invalid modTemplateVarTemplate or modTemplateVarResource.
Yes, thats my problem also - the site is live (because this was working perfectly) and if i delete the TVs before i have created ones that work then that is going to mess up the website. I have created new TVs with different names, but the same content (from scratch and not duplicating the existing ones) and even these TVs have the same problem
Can you post the default values of the TVs (if they have them)?
There are no default values! One of them is a Resource List though and changing that TV type from 'Resource List' to 'Number' allows both to work. I thought perhaps that the problem may have been caused by a couple of the resources being created with & in their Titles, but i have changed all of them and it has made no difference.
Further to the above, i just tried what i stated in my last post on the 'live pages' rather than the 'test pages' and simply changed the TV type of the resource list from 'resource list' to 'number' but this did not fix my problem....looks like i will have to dig further tomorrow :-(
