This day in history feature

Hi all,

I would like to create on my website a "This day in history"- feature. It should check which day it is, and show birthdays and events for that day. What is the recommended way to achieve this in MODx?

Just about any of the calendar extras should be able to do that. Or you could use something like this using MIGXdb
