Making the FCK Resources Browser point to a particular folder?

Sorry another basic question. I want the FCK Resources Browser to point to a particular folder - ’images’ at the root of the site.

In Manager I have gone to ’Tools’ then ’Configuration’ and altered in the ’interface and Features’ section the Resource Path and the Resource URL to /home/themagi/public_html/images

But still see nothing when editing a page and trying to test insert and image (the ’images’ directory is full btw)

And when I try to upload an image to via the FCK Resources Browser it reports back an error - ’Error Failed to Upload File, internal error ..’

Check your individual manager user settings.

Just wondering, can the path be outside the assets folder?
