Managing images/Banners from one location

I have a client that has an old CMS that was custom built for them years ago in ASP.

It's a terrible and very basic CMS but one good feature it has was that it allowed my client to upload images (advertising banners) from one location in the CMS then below the upload image field there was a list of all the pages on the website and they could simply tick the checkbox next to the page and it would add the images or banners to that page.

So now I am building a new website for them in MODX and they have asked me to replicate this feature but I can't see how it can be done.

If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated.

The version from the Simple Dream repository is a couple of revisions ahead of the one in the MODX repository and adds quite a few more features, so maybe look at installing that one instead.
