I see there is a new plugin called FileSource, but have no idea what it does or what it's supposed to do. Surely somebody out there knows what this is for, please share.

For the record, I am really happy with this update to Evo. Well done, devs!

A quite brilliant system plugin - it converts chosen snippets and plugins to static PHP files while still preserving ability to edit them from the manager.

        Thanks, Eoler.

So how do you use it?

If you have long source code for a plugin (let's look at "Forgot Manager Login" for example):

enter filename (relative starting from assets/plugins/) into Configuration/Static file path field inside Create/edit Plugin form and save changes - textfile will be created there and included into site cache as a reference.

It really helps with making site cache smaller, giving more space for resource lookup arrays...
