Hello,
I have problem after moving my site to another server with subfolder.
I am using MODX Revolution 2.2.10-pl (traditional) and i have developed the project on development server but after completing the project while i moving site to client's server than the following error occurred and its irritating..
Fatal error: Call to a member function getMessage() on a non-object in /home/zammcom/public_html/zammvideo/core/model/modx/modmanagercontroller.class.php on line 557
Something i found for this issue is permission of folder or files,
But i cant understand which file or folder has need to give permission 755 or 777 or 644?
Plz give reply its my last stage to complete the project.
Thanx to all...

This is the line that's failing:
$response = $this->modx->runProcessor('system/registry/register/read' ...
This is the processor file it's trying to run:
\core\model\modx\processors\system\registry\register\read.php
If your code is running outside of MODX, it could be that the error handler is not created.

We need more information to help you.
Did you run Setup at the remote site after moving the files?
Did you transfer the files individually with FTP?
When does the error occur?
Can you log in to the Manager?
Does it happen in the front end, the back end, or both?

Transferring the files individually with FTP often results in a missing or corrupted file. See this for another method:
http://bobsguides.com/modx-upgrade-faq.html. It's about upgrading, but the file transfer method would be the same for you.

sorry to hijack, but if i have a site online i want to run locally, i can install a blank new modx locally, replace the local/new db with the live one, override the assets folder and reinstall the packages and we are good to go?

Maybe. You'd need to run setup too.
Every time I do it, there are a few issues I have to straighten out.
