    Hi everyone,

We are having a website built for us by a third party who are using MODx Revolution - I am in the IT support team and currently manage the content on our existing website. What I'd like to do is get a head start on working with MODx, but all of the documentation, videos, discussions, books and manuals seem to be aimed at developers as opposed to users.

I've searched fairly thoroughly and found a few guides written by people who have developed websites with MODx, but the links are either dead, or the content is 2-4 years out of date (and so I assume related to Evolution as opposed to Revolution).

It seems like...quite a glaring gap in the documentation? I appreciate that the content editing could vary depending on how the developer has constructed the site and set up user accounts - although to what degree I'm unsure. The logical place for clients new to MODx to come to is this website, so it would be useful to have the user guide be more prominent (assuming one exists).

Does anyone know of any existing guides for end-users, that don't involve programming or changing the fundamental structure of the website?

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Rick

Actually this was ported from David Walker's LibreOffice document, which can be downloaded and edited to suit the requirements of a given website. With his permission, I generalized it and ported it to HTML. [ed. note: sottwell last edited this post 12 years, 11 months ago.]

Excellent, thank you for the quick response. Having both a generalised copy and something we can work on is great.
