Best Webhoster for MODx

Good Morning,

I'm from Germany und search for the best Webhoster for MODx Traditional in Germany. Who has experience? What's the best hosting package?

Thanks a lot,
Michael

Hello Michael,

There is no such thing as the best MODX hosting provider - only the right hosting provider for you and your site(s). You can find a list of different hosting providers (http://modx.com/services/). Generally smaller providers will be more attentive to your needs, and larger providers focus on their systems.

Talk to the different providers, try their hosting and see what works for your needs.

I know myself and others have had great experiences with hosting MODX on Skytoaster. I'm not sure what their situation with data centers is near Germany however.
MODX has a healthy community in Germany. Of course I can't think of any of their forum names off hand but if you are on Twitter I'd post a link to this thread with the @MODX or #MODX hash tag and I'm sure some of them will chime in.

By all accounts, these are the best MODX-friendly hosts:

SkyToaster: http://bit.ly/164aT9l

Bluehost: http://bit.ly/Hb5CAY

Arvixe: http://bit.ly/YgFGHl

A2: http://bit.ly/1943MLT

Our closest datacenter at this point in time is Rotterdam, NL which gets good reviews from our German users. We do have GbE connectivity at this location, and some awesome peering

Thanks a lot!!! I will look up the different providers.

Best regards,
Michael
