2.2.10 installation quirks / empty username column after installation

    Hi!

    I'm writing this post to hopefully get some insight on some weirdness I'm currently facing.

    I'm trying to perform a fresh installation of 2.2.10 (traditional).

    System data:
    CentOS release 6.4 (Final)
    Checking MySQL server version: OK! Running: 5.1.69
    Checking MySQL client version: OK! Running: 5.0.11-20120503-$Id:40933630edef551dfaca71298a83fad8d03d62d4$
    DB Connection / Collation: utf8 / utf8_general_ci
    PHP version: 5.5.3

    I create a local db named "modx_dummy" and a user "modx_dummy" that has access for "localhost" and full privileges for his database.

    I perform a regular installation and get no errors or warnings whatsoever.

    When I try to login, I'am not able to: "That account could not be located. Check the username and re-type the password to try again."

    When I have a look at the modx_users table, I can see that the username column is empty.

    Furthermore I find these log entries in the install log:

    The user I try to create is named "admin" with password "admin2013", just for testing purposes. I don't know why the installer is trying to leave it blank in the database.

    If I adjust the row manually, I'm not able to login either.
    The resulting PW hash and salt are as follows:

    hash: gmk+7AxXtS24fLHbX6Q8t1JCVXvOdloUUotHAd/aV2Y=
    salt: 591fe5edc3cdb39b21be02b128fdb7ab

    If I overwrite hash + salt with some other known values, I'm able to login.

    The manager and page itself work flawlessly from this moment on!

      Hi again!

      After reading a few forum posts, where another user stated that the new opcache extension might mess up the installation process, I tried to disable opcache and install again.

      Without opcache enabled, the username column gets filled and I'm able to login directly after installation.

      The three errors about null values vanish, the others complaining about installed files are still present.

      Are these known incompatibilities with revo and opcache? Can this be considered a bug? And more importantly: Is it safe to enable opache for the page after installation is done?

        After searching through the issue tracker I found this:

        Seems to fit. If I find the time to dig into this issue, I'll continue posting at the issue tracker.

          After sucsessfully installation on XAMPP met the same problem on real server.
          Resolve in following way:
          1) manualy add username in users table;
          2) manualy add e-mail address in user_attributes teble;
          3) on login page click on forgot your login and reset password.
