I’ve used MODx for 3 sites and now I would like to use it for another but have a question. I need a rather simple site with the same functionality as Adobe’s Spry Demo:

    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/demos/products_pe/index.html

I need to be able to list three columns that can be sorted or users can select values from maybe drop downs and then submit a form that returns a reference. The client wants website users to visit the site and pick a area/state, type of service, more specific service, and the return the name of professional that matches the the selection criteria.

From the other three MODx sites I don’t know how to implement this. So, I guess my question is - Is this reasonably possible with the existing MODx code or a plugin?

      1. you could make each item a page w/ tvs.
      2. use tveditor for the search.
      3. use ditto with an ajaxed table for sorting.

Its been so long. Just now getting back to this project. I have three additional questions.

        1. Is there a clickable map similar to the one at realtor.com? I would like to click on a state and list professionals by state. Maybe break it down to cities.

        http://www.realtor.com/FindHome/default.asp?mode=map&poe=realtor

        2. Again if you go back to realtor.com you will see a search box at the top with a drop down for states. My client hates the drop down. Is it possible to do something like apple.com

        http://www.apple.com/mac/

The scrollable part at the top.

        3. Is there a ad server for MODx? If not, how difficult would it be to integrate OpenX?

        http://www.openx.org/

        4. If you go back to realtor.com you will see a search box at the top. Am I right to assume that I could use tvExplorer to implement the same sort of search options?

thanks for all the support I get from this community.
