    Hey all

    This morning I was about to do some updates on a site for a client, but I constantly got the error:
    "Too many forward attempts" whenever I tried to view the site.
    Now, a few hours later everything is just blank..
    I made a support ticket to the host, but he just replied that it probably was modx itself and gave me this error:

    PHP Warning: fread(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/.sites/50/site215/web/manager/includes/accesscontrol.inc.php on line 130

    Can any of you guys help?
    I have a weird suspicion that maybe this has to do with the assets/cache/siteCache.idx.php file, as that has given me problems with blank pages in the past..
    This time however, I don’t know what to do, or whether this is actually the problem.
    I checked the db and everything looks fine..

      I also get a completely blank page for your site, no source code.
      // load template file
          $tplFile = $base_path.'manager/media/style/'.$manager_theme.'/login.html';
          $handle = fopen($tplFile, "r");
      	$tpl = fread($handle, filesize($tplFile));
      	fclose($handle);

      Is line 127 - 131 in my accesscontrol.inc.php file, is it unable to find the template for the manager?

        It’s really hard to say without more details about what version you’re running, whether or not there were recent upgrades at your host, what snippets you’re running in your site, etc. See the help us help you link in my signature.

            Have you tried deleting the assets/cache/siteCache.idx.php file?

              Oh my.. that actually worked, well sort of at least..
              I started out by renaming the cache folder, modx didn’t like that, so I renamed it back to cache and then instead renamed the files inside it.. The front page was still blank, but I was able to log into the manager. From there I did an "Empty Cache".. Now everything is back to normal..

              Thanks alot netProphET, rthrash and bunk58 for the help wink
