    Hi guys,

    I'm still quite new to modx, I got it setup two years ago on the terrible GoDaddy shared servers and today I moved it over to TSO Host servers in the UK.

    I'm quite proud that i got this far in the migration.

    I can see the site fine in the new location apart from two things;

    1 - The gallery query isnt working - I can see any photos from the gallery

    2 - I cant enter the manager, it comes up with;

    Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/content/54/8603754/html/manager/controllers/analytics/security/login.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /var/sites/a/antsinmyspacebar.com/public_html/core/model/modx/modmanagerrequest.class.php on line 104

    On Godaddy the site was in a sub directory called /modx/

    On TSO i dropped the site in the root. So I followed the guide http://rtfm.modx.com/revolution/2.x/administering-your-site/moving-your-site-to-a-new-server and changed all the config files to reflect this.

    ALSO

    I tried to run the setup again and I got failures on these three;

    Checking if /home/content/54/8603754/html/ directory exists: Failed!

    Checking if /home/content/54/8603754/html/manager/ directory exists: Failed!

    Checking if /home/content/54/8603754/html/connectors/ directory exists: Failed!

    I think the gallery thing i might be able to figure out - but I have no idea why i'm getting the php error sad

    I hope someone can advise me - thanks all!

    Barry

      It could be an issue with the permissions on the directories or you could still have a path in config.inc.php that's not quite right.

      Another possibility is a corrupted or missing file (or directory). This is fairly common if you transfer the files individually using FTP.

        Thanks bob for your response.

        I realised there was a path I hadn't properly changed. It was a server path like var/sites/cloud/my_site

        Now my site is up and running which is great. But after the migration, my galleries have been knocked out, see here http://www.antsinmyspacebar.com/photography/

        What's very strange is that why I go to Galleries under components in Revo 2.1.5-pl I get an error;

        "Could not load controller request handler."

        any ideas?

          Go to System > Namespaces and check the Core Path for all the add-ons.

            Thanks BOB, but no dice. see here -

            https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/56094681/Screen%20Shot%202014-01-09%20at%2020.06.57.png

            The gallery folder appears in appears in core/components

            Should I manually delete the gallery folder then download a new gallery and install it? Maybe there are some corrupted files or permissions after the move?

            I presume my existing galleries wouldnt be deleted as they are just images and HTML code stored in the DB? I need to possibly reinstall the gallery plugin!

            Thanks for your kind help

              Look in the action file at core/components/gallery/index.php

              See where it's trying to load or "include" or "require" the controller request handler from.

              The error message suggests that the controller file is missing or there are permissions issues with it.

                here you go

                should i change permissions on this file?

                  OK, the directory with that file should have a subdirectory called controllers with an index.php file in it. Does it, and do you see anything odd inside the index file? Also, check the permissions (and possibly the ownership) of the controllers directory and the index file.

                    Thanks Bob,

                    from what I can see via FTP the folder /public_html/core/components/gallery/controllers has permissions 755, and its index.php has 644

                    The contents of the index are;

                    require_once dirname(dirname(__FILE__)).'/model/gallery/gallery.class.php';
                    $gallery = new Gallery($modx);
                    return $gallery->initialize('mgr');

                    I'm not a php wiz so I dont know if this is right or not!

                      I don't either, but I think it's looking for core/components/gallery/model/gallery/gallery.class.php.

                      If that's there, go to System -> Namespaces and check the core path of the gallery namespace. It may hold a value for the old site.
