Upgrading from 2.2.2 to 2.2.10

Is it possible to upgrade from 2.2.6 + security patch directly to 2.2.10?

That shouldn't be a problem. I upgraded yesterday from 2.1.2 to 2.2.10 and everything works like a charm.

You're supposed to uninstall the patch extension though correct? Either before or after?

Don't see why... the upgrade will replace the patched files anyway.

In theory yes, just wanted that confirmed because in the patch post it says:

This is a security patch release should be considered a mandatory upgrade. If you are unable to upgrade to 2.2.8 at this time, you may install this patch until you can upgrade, however, the patch may affect performance and should be uninstalled once upgraded.

Which indicates an uninstall of the package after installation.

Could be the installation adds stuff to do checking that isn't necessary after the upgrade.

The "patch" in question here was a Plugin that was installed and needed to be uninstalled once the core itself was literally "patched"...
