    Hi I am sorry for my bad english but, I am trying to move one website this www.connect.ie using MODx, I am copying the source to my MODx but MODx put their own tags

    <html>
    <head>

    <title>MODX Revolution - Index</title>
    <base href="http://eurheart.com/modx/" />
    </head>
    <body>
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head>

    <base href="http://www.connect.ie/" />

    <title>Connect.ie - 44 Westland Row Dublin 2. Tel: +353-1-6763456 Fax:+353-1-6763555</title>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content=
    "text/html; successfully checked W3C as XHTML 1.0 Strict!" />

    and this is the result, I am not an expert, I am a Scholar if someone could help me, how can I delete that tags or how can I move the site easiest or something like that I'll be very grateful.

      MODx by itself does not put any tags. Your page is built using the Template, and inserting content from the MODx tags, such as [[*content]].

      It looks as though you are putting the entire HTML code of one page into the "content" field of a resource. What you need to do is only put the actual visible content of the page into the resource content field.

          The URL is based of the MODX site url (by default that should use the proper url you installed MODX under), and the rest of the URL is based off your friendly URL settings.

          At the bare minimum:
          - rename the ht.access file that shipped with MODX to .htaccess
          - go to System > System Settings and use the Area dropdown to filter on Friendly URLs. Enable the friendly_urls setting, as well as automatic_alias and use_alias_path.

          More information about setting up is found here: http://rtfm.modx.com/revolution/2.x/administering-your-site/using-friendly-urls

          With friendly urls enabled, it will then build the URLs to your resources as siteurl.com/alias-of-parent/alias-of-resource.html. In System > Content Types you can also change the .html suffix.
