I have just tried ModX and unfortunately the very first package I've installed refuses to uninstall. I tried the Flexibility package because I wanted a full site distro to see ModX as a fully functioning site. This didn't happen. It didn't load any site, just a bunch of packages, which is helpful, but not what I wanted. I tried uninstalling and the console just hangs, never uninstalls. I can't try any of the other sample distros until I uninstall.
1) How do you force an uninstall or manually delete it from the db?
2) Are there any real sample distros like Flexibility describes that it is?
Thanks. I won't let one bad experience (although it is the very first thing that happens when I try this out and not a good sign...) keep me from trying ModX again.
Try reloading the page in your browser just before clicking on "uninstall".
Also, check to see if there's anything in the MODX error log.
