Check contents of TV and output HTML if not empty

Hello,

I am quite new to MODX, loving it so far but am coming across a couple of small problems, which are just gaps in my (rather small) MODX knowledge bank, am I'm sure this is very easy.

What I'm trying to do is simply check the value of a TV, or rather simply check if it has a value at all, and if it does, output some HTML (including the TV value) to the page.

I've been looking at getResourceField but I think that is just a snippet to call in a chunk, I need to check my TV first.

Can anyone advise how best to do that. Thank you so much.

Use an Output Modifier:
