Content Type and file paths

    I've noticed that when NOT using Friendly URLs and when using a Static Resource as an attachment for downloading files, an extra . is added to the file path:
    assets/files/myfile..pdf
assets/style/css/mycss..css
assets/js/myscript..js


    If in the Content Types the . is removed from the File Extension field, then the extra . isn't added. Of course, this breaks the URLs to the static resource itself when using Friendly URLs.
