This is an extension of my recent post "https://forums.modx.com/thread/87137/help-site-completely-blank-after-installing-tinymce#dis-post-480066". My site broke after installing TinyMCE, and since I no longer have access to the manager, I need to remove TinyMCE to see if that fixes the problem. I haven't found any instructions anywhere that say how to remove a package manually (including what records to delete in the database).

Any help on this front would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Better to disable the plugin in the database first, and see if that solves the problem, then remove it using Package Manager.

Physical files are in assets/components/package-name and core/components/package-name. In the case of TinyMCE it's a plugin, so in the database it should have a row in the site_plugins table. However, there are also a bunch of system_settings relating to it as well, so it would be a much better idea to try to get the Manager working and remove it using Package Manager.

It seems you can also disable packages this way in the table `transport_packages`. Unfortunately, this doesn't help if the physical files become corrupted on the server, which is exactly what just happened to me.

It turned out that upgrading fastField was the culprit - it must have downloaded or unpacked weird. To get beyond the blank page, I had to completely remove the files from asset/components and core/packages, then delete two records from System Settings that pertained to fastField.
