code replaced after saving

Hi

When I save the following html code in resource content

it changes to this

I have the same site running on localhost and everything runs okay, I have tried ticking off the "rich text editor" in the settings. what could be causing the addition of "\"

I am running evolution 1.0.6
any ideas how to solve this ?

Could be that you have magic_quotes_gpc enabled on the server, ask your hosts to turn it off and see if that fixes it.

Hmmm, looks like it's 'escaping' your double quotes. Let me guess, you use TinyMCE ?

First of, i would update your evo install to at least the one before the last release(because i do not know the effects of that release, yet. Not because i hate it or something.)
And upgrade, if possible your TinyMCE version.

@Paulp Thanks for the quick replies , Have checked the magic quotes the are all off

@thapriest86 I tried turning off rich text editor no difference plus the same site works super in localhost

Do localhost and the live environment have the same php version, same Mysql version, same unicode?

Where did you check ?, if you go to the manager and click reports >> System Information does modx report them as off in that list ? ( don't click the php.inf link look in the list on that page ) as I've seen php.info say one thing yet modx saying another.

If modx is reporting them off I have no idea

Yes i have check php info under system info and magic_quotes_gpc = off

Thanks yes it was magic_quotes_gpc I adjusted the php ini config using "php.ini EZConfig"
in my host cpanel and it all seems ok now
