I think it would make more sense that snippets referenced by {{ }} and chunks by [[ ]], since snippets contain code function {..... } or if {..... }, and the square brackets look kind of well, chunky smiley

I might be the only person who thinks this huh

      Interesting POV. grin

I think it will all be changing in 1.0 anyway.

They are actually changing in 0.9.7 to use a consistent Smarty Style context of [[ ]] see the 0.9.7 Roadmap.

I have played with the svn of 0.9.7 and the tags work as noted in the roadmap. smiley

Sweet, the features in 0.9.7 look very very cool, is there anywhere I can download it, or ask why they decided to ditch Mootools?

I hope this helps. BTW this is in alpha so it may or may not work well depending on your environment (but should) and comes with nothing installed--no snippets, no plugins--no nothing. Not even a template.

            All the best,

ExtJS has a good UI library that was ready at the time. Mootools has references to one, but nothing public yet other than a demo of dialogs generated using Canvas techniques.

                Thanks for the reply Ryan,

Seems like the "hype" over mootools is over, (except in the joomla community), mootools scripts keep on breaking on me in IE7 when I use swf object.
The code is lean but you really gotta know what your doin smiley

Dont know if jQuery will fix the mem leaks, but think I’ll switch to jQuery anway...
                ExtJs looks really really cool
