Mobile device blog Image upload

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can help me out with a few pointers as to the best way to achieve this.

Our website features a 'live blog' section, where people users within the specified group can add a Live Blog post. At present I have this working using a combination of Articles and NewsPublisher, with the exception of uploading an image.

I would like it so that the form has just 3 fields - Post Title, File Upload and Content fields. I have the Post Title and Content Fields working and the post appears fine with the settings I'm using. I would like to have it so the File Upload field can be used to select an image from the user's device and upload it to an 'uploads' file and so the Image is automatically embedded at the start of the Content.

I'm really struggling with the File Upload portion of this, as it automatically is open the modX resource browser. I'm also not sure how to embed the uploaded image automatically into the Content.

Any help/Pointers would be hugely appreciated.

You could use a Media Source for that group, then they could only access the part of the file system for their images.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I did consider this option and had in implemented, but it still involves opening up the ModX file browser which I'd really like to eliminate all together. That way the user doesn't have to worry about anything other than selecting a photo from their mobile phone/mobile device.
