I am from Bulgaria. Sorry to my bad eng. I have Joomla with 500-600 contents and I so dissapoint (SQL querys, so many other bulshit) from Joomla. 500-600 is so many. Covertor/migrator or any tools about this migration?
I don’t know of any exisiting tool or script to migrate from Joomla to MODx. In fact, I don’t know of any migrating tool from other CMS to MODx (that’s a gap we should fill some day...).
If it’s just about migrating content, then someone with knowledge of both Joomla and MODx with MySQL skills could build a script to import from Joomla to MODx. All it would take would be to map the Joomla tables/field to the MODx tables/field and then write MySQL queries to import the data. I did it recently from a custom database to a MODx database.

Yes, this is good idea. Manual migration with SQL base reconstrucion is hard work, but many try is result.
It’s not that hard once you’ve done it once or twice

All it takes is a little time to figure out how to map the db tables/fields.
I don’t promess anything, but I’ll try to give this a look.
Are you running the latest Joomla (1.5) ?

My contents in cyrilic (very bad support for PDF export, and very bad for adress cyrilyc symbol ->latin). I have this idea... New CMS system and "old" adress. I searching many years about "the perfect CMS": bulshit adress, many bugs, and many speanding resourse tools. MODx is perfect, little hard in the beginig...
