I knew I didn't want to upgrade my Cloud dev sites to 2.2.9! I did anyway, and now the
"Using resource-specific mediasource and multifile-uploader with MIGX" tutorial doesn't work any more. The Media Source with [[migxResourceMediaPath? &pathTpl=`assets/resourceimages/{id}/`]] doesn't work. I presume this is a result of that bug introduced in 2.2.9 that's supposed to be fixed in 2.2.10 "shortly". I do hope that "shortly" means before MODXpo, since I'm using that in my presentation!

Something weird is going on... now it works. I did go through the usual routine of deleting the core/cache, clearing browser cache, re-installed the Cloud instance. I didn't think any of that had solved anything. But now it's working as expected.

Hah. Spoke too soon. Not working again. Images still display on the front-end, but the MIGx TV and the File Manager don't recognize the Media Source again. Time to give it a rest and go do some knitting.
