Updated to 2.2.9, now I can't edit templates in elements. Console in FF gives me 'TypeError: b is null' in 'ext-all.js (line 21)' and the right hand side of the editor is just blank. No idea how to fix this. Cleared cached, reinstalled, no difference. Anyone got the same problem? Thanks for any hints...

You might try turning off the compress_js and compress_css in system settings, as well as making sure your browser cache is cleared.
Does this apply to any and all templates, or only some? Do any of your templates have non-standard ascii characters in their names?
thanks for your reply. done that, but no difference. I have now copied the original site (this was the dev) to a new setup on a new server and it seems OK, as I decided that I didn't have enough time to try and fix this weird issue

Gremlins. Although I did once have a MODx Cloud site behaving in a somewhat similar manner once when I deleted a TV and somehow it had gotten tangled up and all the resources and templates that had been using it could not be edited.
