Duplicating documents including TV values

Hello,

when I duplicate documents (or document trees), the values of the TVs are not duplicated. This fact is stated in the small popup message before starting the duplication.

Now, I want to duplicate a complete branch of my website (the german pages) to a new branch: the english pages. As I have stored quite much content in TVs (e.g. for multi-column layout) I’d like to have my english pages filled with the german content for better translating them.

Is there any possibility (maybe snippet, plugin, module) to duplicate document (trees) with their complete TV values?

Simply duplicate the entire container for any language then rename the documents as needed. This will duplicate the entire content including TVs.

Please back up your data before hand in case you need to backtrack.

Thank you very much. MODx once more does exactly what I need. I don’t know why I didn’t try it. I misunderstood the popup window, and still I don’t know what it wants to tell me

Okay, this english message in deed is absolutely clear. But I’m using the german backend, and there the warning is different (look below). It has a second line that reads

"Hinweis: Externe Daten (e.g. Schlüsselwörter, angepasste Template Variablen, etc.) werden nicht dupliziert" wich means

"Tip: external data (e.g. keywords, customised template variables, etc.) will not be duplicated".

And this second line is, what irritated me.

It´s important that such misunterstanding sentences are corrected at once, a translator not always knows where such a message appears.

Reason for this translation is that back in 0.92 (I think) TVs wheren´t duplicated.
