Disqus API - Generate a 'Most Commented List' with GetResources?

Hi all!

The Problem
All I want to do is list out the posts with the most Disqus comments on them using a GetResource call. Does somebody have a tutorial they've used that helped them out? I've tried to follow this: http://help.disqus.com/customer/portal/articles/1131783-tutorial-get-comment-counts-with-the-api but I haven't gotten anywhere with it. It's super frustrating because it doesn't have a demo so I don't know if that's what I even need!

Just a warning though, I am completely and utterly inept when it comes to API's. Whether it's Youtube's or Disqus'..I am completely lost!! For those who have used the older version of Disqus, I know it's super simple to add widgets to your site, but I think as of last year, they've done a complete overhaul with their code....so now we have to use API's (from my understanding).

I've actually come up with the solution to this, so let me know if anyone's interested for an answer. I just don't have time at the moment to write up a tutorial...but I will eventually and post it in the tips section of the forum!
