But after installing it through package manager it doesn't appear for TVs and isn't available in the dropdown list of 'Editors to use' in System settings. Anyone know if there's something that needs tweaking to make this work?
Thanks
Allan
Using Revo 2.2.9
aloha v1.1 RC2
local install on Xampp
It looks like Aloha is meant for front end editing and not for the backend? The page (
http://modx.com/extras/package/aloha) lists some additional installation instructions specific for Aloha.

Doh,
Thanks very much Mark. If I'd looked further down the installation instructions I'd probably have found that - so my apologies.

I'm still wondering how you could set the option values available for the which_editor System Setting. I couldn't find any way to do it.

Hi Bob,
I noticed that Tinymce says it updates which_editor when you install it(as I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it a few times now) - at least it writes a log entry to that effect.

It ought to be configurable from the Manager, or at least in the code somewhere, but I don't see any way to set it.

My untrained eyes couldn't spot any mention of 'which_editor' in the code either.
Maybe there's something in CKeditor or Tinymce that would provide a pointer to how to do that?

That's done through a plugin event.
switch ($modx->event->name) {
case 'OnRichTextEditorRegister':
$modx->event->output('Redactor');
break;

Ah, thanks. I would never have found that.
