    Hi,

Is it possible to click add item and have the migx record inserted at the top of the column grid, rather than the bottom?

Not as far I know. Because the data is stored as JSON object, it concats to the bottom. You should hack the core of MIGX, or consider developing a custom component

Not out of the box, but with a little bit of customization and some tricks its possible to modify the order of the items server-side (for example putting a new item at top of all other items) after adding a new record.

I can change the order in the front end by adding the following ot my getImageList call:

          &sort=`[{"sortby":"MIGX_id","sortdir":"DESC","sortmode":"numeric"}]`]]

But the migx column grid in the backend is displayed in reverse - not a big deal, but it would be great if you could set where the new row is added in the migx config.

This should be possible now with version 2.5.8

How exactly would I make this work in MIGX?

In the MIGX-Configurator-CMP there is a listbox
                      'Add new MIGX records at'

                      with two options (bottom/top)

you need to use the MIGX-configurator to create the configs for the MIGX-TV then.
