Difficulty uploading IRFanview JPEG or JP2 images

I just installed IRFanview in order to resize images in quantity, but when I try to upload images (both JPEG and JP2) with FCKEditor, I get the message "Image cannot be submitted to the server." This happens with images both before and after resizing with IRFanview. The only images I can successfully upload are ones I resized individually using other software.
Any solutions?

This removes all EXIF datas and so on.
