Using latest modx 2.2.9
We have editors on our website with specific permissions, what we are trying to do is hide all files in file system files from the modx browser - the one that pops up when uploading an image to an image TV (not through tiny mce)
All images are stored in /images/inner-folders
We have setup the media source and everything works good - through tiny mce it opens the images media source as default.
The problem: when uploading an image through TV is shows all files in the file system and user has to look for the images folder.
We did accomplish to make a TV show only this media source that we want by editing the TV media source but this causes a problem with all images that are already used through this TV and makes the URL relative to images folder, for exmaple:
this is what shows now on all image TV's now:
images/Reports/image.jpg
after assigning media source to the TV it changes to relative to the media source path-
Reports/image.jpg
So if I change the existing TV's media source they won't show because it is will look for them inside: images/images/Reports/kerry1150913.jpg (it doesn't replace the written path)
This happens because now it is relative but the path is already written there.
I saw a suggestion to change the output of the TV from default to text but couldn't that mess up places that we used the tv as an image with parameters? will it solve this?
Any suggestion on how to fix this path issue?
Thank You
I'm having this exact issue. It's a long-shot, but did you manage to resolve it? I would love to know how if you did!
