    Hello,

    we run Modx Revo 2.2.8/9 on a Apache vhost with an active HTTPS_rewrite rule and a self-signed cert for the manager (sometimes it's only reachable by a VPN connection too). While beeing active in the manager and also watching the site, modx caches all ressources with the rewrite-rule specific base url. Also, if you view a ressource via the option "View Ressource" from within the ressource tree, the systems settings are ignored and the preview isa delivered with the HTTPS manager url.

    The Problem here: If normal users visit the site, modx deliver the cached ressources with https url's and thus, the layout is broken because there is no valid cert and browsers block ressources like .js and .css files that are referenced via [[++site_url]]. If i empty the global site cache, the problem is gone. But we have clients using the manager who aren't technicans and aware of that issue.

    If i got it right, modx will cache a ressource on it's first view. It also ignores every system setting for HTTP Headers, URL Scheme and HTTP setting.

    Is there anything to prevent this behaviour without deactivate caching or rewrite rules?

    Thanks for your help.

      Don't cache the [[!++site_url]].
