    Hi all,

I am trying to setup a system where people can join the subscription list for my website and get notifications when i want to send out an email based on an update. However, I have setup my own preference options in Notify and am now getting the following error when I try to 'launch notify'

Check the appropriate boxes and submit the following form to send notifications:
Unauthorized Access -- must be a member of Administrator group

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    TJ

That check is performed before any Tpls are referenced. It comes at the very beginning of the snippet, before the notify class is even loaded, so something else must be going on.

Make sure that you're logged in to the Manager as a member of the Administrator group before running Notify.

        Hi Bob,

Thanks for the reply. I have logged in as the administrator yes but no difference. Ill try another browser.. all I did was 'clear cache' and 'flush permissions' the only to possible things that made it fail.

I don't know what it could be other than a browser cache issue. All the test does is check whether the currently logged-in user is a member of the Administrator group.

Is the Notify Resource protected by a Resource Group or Context Access ACL entry that might exclude the admin?

Is it a multi-language site with different Contexts for different langauges?

            I now get:

            $_POST pageId is empty

            on a different browser (safari)

Yep, I go into Template Variables, template access and tick the template i want the notify to be assigned to then go to a page using that template and launch notify. reinstalling subscribe and notify fix the issue, ill try the Mypref changes again and see what happens...

Start by just duplicating the Tpl chunk and make sure that works when you specify the duplicate in the tag, then modify it -- testing periodically as you go.
