    Hi everybody,

    I have a problem to recover my MODx password. When I enter my mail adress, I get an email from [email protected] which asks me to click on the link inside to change my password.

    But after a click on it an empty site appears with just this message:
    Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /XXX/manager/processors/login.processor.php:286) in /XXX/manager/processors/login.processor.php on line 279

    I’m creating a self made skin ATM wich is installed as standart. Maybe that’s the problem?

    System:
    MODx 0.9.6 // no additional snippets or plugins
    Safe Mode: on
    Reg Globals: off
    PHP should be v 4.4.4
    MySQL v5

    Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong?

    Thanks and regards.

      Try checking the source of the page (view source). That message means that an error was encountered, the "headers" already sent were for the error message. The error message itself sometimes shows up in the head of the source of the resulting page, and thus doesn’t get displayed in the browser.

        This is all which is shown in the source:

        <script>window.setTimeout("alert('Incorrect username or password entered!')",10);history.go(-1)</script>
        <script>window.setTimeout("alert('The security code you entered didn\\\'t validate! Please try to login again!')",10);history.go(-1)</script>
        <br />

          Well, it was worth a try... I would tend to agree that your custom template is the problem. You can switch it back to a regular one if you go directly to the database (phpmyadmin or whatever database client you use) and set the manager_theme in the _settings table back to MODxLight.

          I would suggest first making a copy of MODxLight, rename it, then switch to that in the Manager configuration. Then change one thing at a time, and log out and log in and check around after every change. It’s slower that way, but a lot easier to catch problems.
