    I created an XML sitemape page and it seems to of been created correctly... is there a way i can use the info from the XML myself to create a sitemap page that a user would understand?

      Hi rossco

      I guess you want to present the same content as you have in your XML sitemap but you want to use another format:

      You could simply use another template instead of the XML template and then alter the ditto call. Leave all options in your ditto call in tact and just remove the rss-specific ones. You can read in the ditto documentation how to create and apply custom templates.

      Cheers,

        Hey Rossco,

        Are you trying to create a sitemap for your site that a visitor could view? Wayfinder would be perfect for that. Or do you want the XML page to be styled so that someone could view it and read it? Something like on my personal site: http://my619.com/sitemap.xml ? If the later, you can upload a stylesheet into the root directory. I zipped and attached such a stylesheet. Simply unzip it and then upload it into the top, root directory of your site and it will style the sitemap.xml page.

        Hope that answers your question.

          Hey thanks for answering... I used a sitemap snippet I found on this site. I upped that css file but it didn’t take to the sitemap. I’m assuming because I have created the sitemap using a snippet rather than a seperate xml sitemap file?

            I used the stylesheet I attached above with the Google Sitemap snippet found here: http://modxcms.com/GoogleSiteMap_XML-592.html

            Not sure why it’s not working. What I’ve always done is make sure I place it in the root directory of the site and it’s worked great to style the XML. Here’s an example of the snippet call in the document itself:

            [!SiteMap? &format=`sp` &excludeTemplates=`Exclude`!]

            Obviously make sure the document has a content type of "text/xml"

            Give that a spin and let me know how it goes.

              I tired the snippet you linked me too but i get this

              This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

              <urlset>
              </urlset>

              I’m using this sitemap snippet http://www.modxcms.com/sitemap-1.0.3-1477.html
