What modules should I use for a small conference site where users can register and upload one or more PDF files (abstracts). They will also need to see a list of their uploaded abstracts.
Thank you.

Hi Petronel,
Maybe it would help if you gave people what version of MODx you are using. For instance, 'modules' aren't called 'modules' anymore in Revo. They're called 'components'. So I'm guessing that you're using Evo?
If you are using Revo though, I've used Formit2Resource to create an online form that you're users could fill out to upload a PDF and upon submission, creates a resource (maybe even a static resource). I found this thread useful:

If you've never made users before, follow this tutorial:
http://www.bmv-interactive.com/home/modx-acl-tutorial.html
Now, I haven't had any experience with UPDATING the content from the Front End. So maybe somebody else could help you out in that department.

The site will be on a new domain and can use Evo or Revo. So far I've installed Revo and played a bit with FormIt extras, especially FormItBuilder.
It seems that it can upload the files and also send it as attachment to an email.

I've never used FormitBuilder before, but it sounds like something I would need.
I also saw something that might be interesting for you:
http://modx.com/extras/package/newspublisher
It lets people create resources and then allows them to edit them too...all from a front end form. I might look into that instead of using Formit2Resource for my own project.

Hi again,
I played around a bit with NewsPublisher and I may use that instead of Formit2Resource. But I'm not sure if it's as robust as Formit...in the way it validates input...but I'll see soon enough!
