    Hi,
I'm using revolution 2.2.8 on a local install on a Windows 7 machine running Xampp. I created a Newspublisher page and can use it to post to the content field in Articles. I'd like for the Tinymce editor(in the absence of anything better) to be available to edit the field - but it isn't.
Tinymce v4.3.3 is working OK within the manager - so it does work.
This is the code that I have on the Newspublisher page.
    [[!NewsPublisher? &show=`pagetitle,description,pub_date,published,content,NotifySubscribers` &parentid=`5` &template=`15` &initrte=`1` &rtcontent=`1` &hidemenu=`1` &classkey=`Article` ]]

The field that is used for input in my articles template is just the [[*content]] field.

I've amended my 'login' chunk so that it logs into both web and manager contexts.
Do I need to set something within Tinymce in order for it to be used as editor, or is there somnething wrong with the Newspublisher code?
    Thanks
    Allan

That's a good question. It works for me in XAMPP on Vista, but I'm not sure I've tested it with the current versions of MODX and TinyMCE. Can anyone verify editing with TinyMCE and NewsPublisher in the current versions?

I was meaning to ask was there something wrong with my call to Newspublisher not Newspublisher itself smiley
        Thanks

No, I don't see anything wrong with your tag. TinyMCE is very cranky about working in the front end in MODX, so there may be a change in TinyMCE, Articles, or MODX 2.2.8 that's breaking it. I was hoping that someone else could report on a similar setup before I start digging.

BTW, does it work with regular Resources?

            Thanks Bob,
Tinymce seems to function OK when I use it from the manager but doesn't appear for a normal resource when I trigger it from the edit button. But please don't dig to much into this problem - there are too many variables to look at(Windows,Xampp....), and the only users who would need to edit the pages are going to have to have access to the manager anyway - I was just looking for something that might be easier than me sussing out how to let them edit and create things without being able to do too much damage smiley
            regards

              Hi,
Just to let you know that having uninstalled/reinstalled Tinymce, attempting to use Aloha, reinstalling Tinymce, causing Newspublisher to not work at all, then upgrading Articles to the latest version, the editor now appears in Newspublisher in the front end. Suspect it may have been something to do with the version of Articles, as that's the only component that's changed.
              regards

                Interesting. Thanks for the report.

I'm glad it's working for you now.
