Performance Problem

Hi, everyone. I have some problems with performance of my revo based site. It takes about 6 seconds to load the index page. When basically it just one snippet that make all the retrieving from the database. I set the time the time at the start of this snippet and then get timer's value at the end of it. I was really surprised by the result. Time of the execution is about 1 second. It's become interesting when i commented the call of the snippet and my page has been loaded in about 1.3 seconds. So what i have. A code that executes in 1 second and a snippet with the exact same code which runs in 4 second. What could be the problem here? Thanks for reading through my bad English,
