I apologise for my dumb question, but I'm not familiar with something SDK like, I know some SDKs outside ModX though not expert on it.
My dumb question are what does ModX SDK do ? how and when we should use it ? is it a tool?
I didn't see any different installing MODX Revolution 2.2.9-pl (sdk) but the 'sdk' title on it.Where is it?

The SDK version of Revo 2.2.9-pl contains debug (uncompressed) versions of extjs (the JS framework used in the MODX Manager).
You should only use them if you are an Extras developer and you are building out UI interfaces that utilize extjs (e.g. manager components). The SDK version should definitely not be used on a production site due to the sheer size of the uncompressed JS.
The reason why is simple ... to save your sanity by getting more informative error messages in the JS console (the minized versions of extjs can sure throw some cryptic error messages at you) and being able to identify with more certainty where your ExtJS code may be failing.
It also presents opportunities going forward of being able to ship additional debug tools in the SDK distribution should we see need for them.
