    Hi everyone!

I followed this tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z48IGVyuKgc to upgrade my MODX from 2.2.8 to 2.2.9

Ran the setup, cleared the cache and everything.

Problem is - the header still shows 2.2.8.

    What am I doing wrong?

have you manually deleted all files & folders under "/core/cache/" folder ? do that from your hosting file manager. [ed. note: gee last edited this post 13 years, 1 month ago.]

Or..you might wash out your config.core.php and /core/config/config.inc.php while upgrading, preserve these two files, I've experienced this kind of issue times ago..

How would I preserve them? simply not overwrite them?

Yes..the config files are the files you wont upgrade..it tells you about the paths of your resident system, dont' forget the configs under /manager and /connectors as well..preserve them also.

Thanks. My site was not yet built (had installed but not begun developing) so I ended up doing a re-install but I'll keep this in mind for next time. Thanks!
