    Ok I followed the instructions provided on this page http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/EForm

    -I created a new document called "contact us" id 31.
    -I created "ContactForm" chunk
    -I created "ContactFormReport" chunk
    -I then inserted the following code into the "Contact Us" document
    [!eForm? &formid=`ContactForm` &subject=`[+subject+]` &to=`[email protected]`
    &ccsender=`1` &tpl=`ContactForm` &report=`ContactFormReport` &gotoid=`1` !]

    I loaded the contact us page, no form is displayed/shown did I do something wrong?

        It looks correct, I did not spot any problems with the call other than the call should be on one line, or with the chuncks. If it is in one line and still no show try turning the debug on &debug=`true` and see if any additional info is returned.

        Also the subject tag should be [*subject*]. Use the [+ +] for tags within some specific snippet template chunks, in the site template use the satandard [* *] tags.

        [!eForm? &formid=`ContactForm` &subject=`[*subject*]` &to=`[email protected]` &ccsender=`1` &tpl=`ContactForm` &report=`ContactFormReport` &gotoid=`1`  !]

        Also make sure that the eForm snippet is installed.

          You shouldn’t use the same names for the formid and the tpl. Change the line:

          <input name="formid" type="hidden" value="ContactForm" />

          to

          <input name="formid" type="hidden" value="feedbackForm" />

          and change your call to:

          [!eForm? &formid=`feedbackForm` &subject=`[+subject+]` &to=`[email protected]` &ccsender=`1` &tpl=`ContactForm` &report=`ContactFormReport` &gotoid=`1`!]

          Let me know if that works.

              STRANGE, it works with this code
              "[!eForm? &formid=`ContactForm` &subject=`[+subject+]` &to=`[email protected]` &ccsender=`1` &report=`ContactFormReport` &gotoid=`1` &tpl=`ContactForm`!]"

              I can now see the form, I can send the email via the form, and got the following message
              ""Thank You!

              Your information was successfully submitted."
              but im not receiving any email in my inbox! (email is correct and not in spam folder either)

                Is this a localhost install? Did you set up the email info in the configs. Is sendmail installed on your server? (is the path to sendmail correct?) Do you have email sending from other calls or applications on the same server?

                    I think eForm uses the builtin mail() function to send mail. Usually, it needs no configuration unless your web host has it turned off (some do for security reasons).

                    If all you need is a simple contact form without the extra power of eForm, you might try SPForm:

                    http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,19357.0.html

                    It’s still very much under development but I’ve been using it for a while now with no problems. It uses the MODx phpMailer function and has pretty clear installation instructions (at least I hope it does).

                    It uses mail() by default but can be easily configured to use authenticated SMTP mail from any email account you have on any host if mail() doesn’t work for you.
