I have a site that my client uses to post technical drawings for contractors to bid on. The drawing files can sometimes get fairly large. Because of this I have the Maximum upload size set to: 104857600 bytes. However, we have a 36 mb file that we are trying to upload and we keep getting Access Denied. It is a 73 page PDF file. When I remove enough pages to get it below 20 mb, it uploads fine. It seems like about 20 mb is the limit.

Can anyone help me here? Is there another setting I'm missing?

    I'm using MODX Revo 2.2.6

    Any help would be appreciated.

Is this maximum file size limit set in MODX or your PHP ini?

You might have to change it on both MODX and the PHP ini if you haven't you can find more info here.

      Good luck.

There are at least three settings that need to be configured for something like this. The MODx system settings, PHP settings, and web server settings.

One more consideration beyond just file size is sometimes the timeout settings and max_post_size.

You saved me again Ben. My PHP ini file had max_upload and max_post_size set to 20 mb. I thought I could control everything from within MODX. Another lesson learned.

            Thanks again!
