Hi guys, I've got a GalleryAlbums snippet call on a page named 'Projects'. This page displays a list of albums named 'Project One' to 'Project Ten' with image thumbs as their cover.

    Description of Problem:
I've just recently deleted AND replaced all of the images in the 'Project One' album. However, now when I go to view the 'Projects' albums on the front end, 'Project One' has a missing link icon for the thumb. So obviously, the album cover doesn't automatically update itself and it's showing a missing link because I've deleted the image that USED to be the album cover.

What I've already done, but still no result:

    • Manually cleared the files in core/cache
    • Manually cleared the files in public_html/assets/components/gallery/cache

    Code
    My snippet call (nothing special):
    [[!GalleryAlbums? &rowTpl=`CHK-gallery-album-thumb` &parent=`2` &sort=`rank` &dir=`ASC`]]

    • MODX Version: MODX Revolution 2.2.7-pl (traditional)
    • PHP Version: PHP Version 5.3.27
    • Database (MySQL, SQL Server, etc) Version: 5.1.61-log

Is there another cache I can clear? Or a setting I have to edit?

    Thanks!
    Sar

It could be your browser cache. wink

I don't use Gallery, but I think it may save the album cover filename in a DB table.

Is there a Gallery choice on the Components menu? If so, you may be able to select the cover image there.

:) No, Gallery doesn't have options like that in the module...BUT your question made me realize that I haven't had a look at the GalleryAlbum rtfm page. It's lead me to the solution smiley

            I had to add:
            &albumCoverSortDir=`DESC` &albumCoverSort=`rank`

Without that above code I guess it doesn't refresh the <img src=... of the album cover even when it's deleted. Thanks for giving me a hand even though you're not that familiar with Gallery.
