Hi there, what is everyone's opinion of having file extensions in the URL - currently i have www.domainname.com/name.html but believe that the best practice is not to have the file extension displayed and instead have www.domainname.com/name. If this is the case then will i also need to put in place a redirect for every URL from name.html to name ?? Thoughts?
Weve dropped the .html on all our sites now.
im not sure about the redirects however, but you could try putting in something in the htaccess that removes the .html from the end of the URL but again this isnt my forte.
