    Hey guys,

Firstly, thanks for any help I can get with this.

I am getting the following error when trying to login to the MODx manager (This was all working fine 2-3 days ago when I installed it) and the manager login page loads if there are no cookies in the brower, but as soon as a cookie is set or you are logged in you get the errors below.

I am getting the following errors:
Warning: MagpieRSS: Failed to fetch http://feeds.feedburner.com/modx-announce (HTTP Error: connection failed (11) in **HIDDEN PATH**/core/model/modx/xmlrss/rssfetch.class.php on line 241

Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in **HIDDEN PATH**/manager/controllers/default/header.php on line 93

Really not sure how to fix this as I have never come across it before but it's the latest version of Revo with the following packages installed:

    • Archivist
    • Articles
    • FirstChildRedirect
    • FormIt
    • getpage
    • getresources
    • If
    • MIGx
    • Quip
    • Redactor
    • Taglister
    • ultimate parent
    • VersionX
    • Wayfinder

Hopefully this is enough information to get a bit of help.

    UPDATE:
Tried to manually clear the MODx Cache folder, and nothing.
Clearing cookies allows me to get to the login, but as soon as I login again I get the error again. Tried this in multiple browsers and the same problem. Magpie dieing. [ed. note: jonrawlins last edited this post 13 years, 1 month ago.]

Have you tried to repair your Revo installation?
Re-upload the full package and do a repair install! This helped me out 2 times.

Another hint is to check all file permissions. Should be 664 (or 644) for files or 775 (or 755) for folders depending on your server config.

Well, strange turn of events it suddenly loaded without doing anything but for good measure I cleared the Session table (advised by Mark Hamstra) and all still working.

Thanks for the input gadgetto, will remember those in the future.

It would seem the issue may have been with the announcement feed, so I am going to remove that from the manager to prevent future problems too.
